Hheellloooo friends, happy Friday! In the midst of some very respectable hibernation and a few emotional endurance events, I have been getting the giggles frequently. Here are five things that have helped:

ONE: A few days ago, while the farm was still luxuriously blanketed in perfect, fluffy snow, the sun reemerged. Handsome and I took a walk around and squinted at each other, sans sunglasses, just taking it all in. It was such a glowing, gleaming, reflective view. With zero warning my very smart and serious husband said, “Did you ever think what if snow was black?” He wasn’t really even talking to me. It was one of those questions to the Universe, I think. I have laughed about this a few times every day since.
TWO: Klaus catching snowball fetches ike a puppy!!

THREE: Due to the extreme weather, I have left our small flock cooped up for a few days. One morning I snuck in there to refresh their water and give them kitchen treats. Our lone rooster was in the throes of zoomies that really defy his old age. Are the hens being mean to him, or does he just have good old fashioned cabin fever? Hilarious.
FOUR: We made popcorn and watched Jack Black and Paul Rudd in The Anaconda. Really the whole dumb movie is so sweet and funny, you guys, completely unintellectual, just what the doctor ordered. Two scenes in particlar have made me giggle on repeat when I remember them: Jack Black fleeing for his life with a pig strapped to his back and Paul Rudd struggling to control a small motor boat in the river. He is just spinning in little circles, slowly. No shame. Once in a while slapstick just wins the day.
FIVE: Trading internet memes back and forth with Handsome. Many nights after dinner, we have fallen into the habit of sitting on the couch with our phones and just absolutely blasting each other with great jokes and short videos. So rapidly we can hardly keep up, and we are laughing all the way out loud. One night we synched up our algorithms so well that we traded LITERALLY THE SAME JOKE AT THE SAME MOMENT. There has got to be an internet prize for this, right?
I could share so many more funny moments. It’s been a good week for laughing, and we still have three whole days left. Then next week will be another good week for laughing all over again! What’s bringing levity to your world this week?

Your mind canot heal without laughter.
Your soul canot heal wthout joy.”

Even laughing before 9pm!
